        Experts say in a poor economy, Americans choose junk foods - which are processed foods high in sugar, fat, and calories but low in nutrients
        Studies show that Americans are spending less money on food, but that could actually lead to an increase in obesity. 

        The same is true in other developed countries feeling the economic pinch.
